January 31 - February 8, 2025 The Sommets Musicaux, founded in 2001, offer nine consecutive days during which the public has the opportunity to experience young up-and-coming artists as well as established virtuosos of international renown. Since its inception, the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad have been an unmissable musical highlight of the winter season for lovers of classical music. Year after year, talented young musicians, renowned orchestras and internationally acclaimed soloists as well as music enthusiasts from Switzerland and other countries come together for nine days to bring the masterpieces of the classical repertoire to life in the midst of a dreamy winter landscape. Founded by former artistic directors Thierry Scherz and Ombretta Ravessoud, the festival is based on three pillars that have remained unchanged since its inception: Three concert series take place at three outstanding venues. The afternoon concerts in the Gstaad chapel offer a stage for promising young talents and are each dedicated to a specific instrument. In the evenings, concertgoers are captivated by soloists and renowned orchestras from all over the world in the churches of Saanen and Rougemont. Every year, the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad are a popular meeting place for the entire region. The dinners that take place after the concerts at the Gstaad Palace or the Café du Cerf in Rougemont enable special encounters between music lovers, the artists and the festival's partners. |
